Project updates: Digital Sustainability Educational Profiles and Core Curricula

We are excited to introduce five new Digital4Sustainability educational profiles and core curricula. They define key skills for technical, advisory, and management roles that support Europe’s green and digital transition, and will guide future training programmes developed within the project.

Explore the new Digital Sustainability profiles: Digital4Sustainability Launches Five Educational Profiles And Core Curricula To Accelerate The Green And Digital Transition

New on the blog:

• The missing voice: Why gender diversity is essential for digital sustainability – Veronika Pizano from Aj Ty v IT explores how digital transformation can drive environmental sustainability. While advanced technologies improve efficiency and resource optimisation across sectors, achieving real social, economic, and environmental impact requires diverse perspectives working together. • ENNEPlus: empowering VET providers to lead the digital-green transition through challenge-based innovation. This article spotlights ENNEPlus, a three-year Erasmus+ project empowering VET providers to lead the digital-green transition through the Eco-Digithon—a challenge-based approach where learners and local actors co-create solutions to real environmental and social challenges. The article was shared by our alliance community partner European Grants International Academy (EGInA). Read about ENNEPlus.

Meet Digital4Sustainability Alliance Community partners

This month, the spotlight falls on two Alliance Community partners whose expertise is helping to drive the project forward:

• Aj Ty v IT is a Slovak non-profit organisation empowering girls and women with the digital skills and confidence they need to thrive in today’s tech-driven world. Through education, mentoring, and community engagement, they are working to close the gender gap in technology and promote diversity and sustainability in the digital workforce. By joining the  Digital4Sustainability Alliance, Aj Ty v IT brings a gender-diverse perspective to developing digital sustainability skills, ensuring no one is left behind in the digital transition.
• EGInA is a multidisciplinary think tank committed to driving innovation and inclusive growth through sustainable development.
  With expertise in education, social inclusion, and environmental action, EGInA places digital technologies at the core of its strategy to create lasting impact across sectors. Their motivation for joining the Alliance is rooted in their ambition to strengthen digital and green transitions within vocational and professional education in Europe. Leveraging synergies with the ENNEPlus project, EGInA aims to empower VET providers as local change agents through networking, capacity building and challenge-based eco-innovation.

Digital LSP Matchmaking Event

Join this event online on 22 January 2026 at 14:00 – 15:00 CET.

Blueprint projects funded under Erasmus+ help address the skills gap and establish Skills Alliances, which are key to maintaining sustainability, scalability and long-term collaboration. This session will showcase alliance communities from the ongoing Erasmus+ Blueprint projects such as: ARISA (Artificial Intelligence Skills Alliance), Digital4Sustainability and SMARCO (Smart Communities Skills Development in Europe).
