The Sound of Innovation since 2012

Cluj IT was founded in 2012 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Cluj IT Cluster is Romania’s largest innovation ecosystem built along the IT industry value chain. Our business and innovation community has well over 100 members, with more than 80 thriving companies, 17 universities and research institutes, as well as a wide array of catalyst organizations. Driven by the needs and aspirations of our cluster members and of the larger community we are part of, Cluj IT focuses on strategic activities that push digital and green transformation, foster collaborative partnerships and forge transnational projects. We promote an open approach from which all stakeholders, whether providers of IT products and services, public institutions and the society at large, can contribute and benefit.

Our contribution

Our Role in Digital4Sustainability

Over the recent years, Cluj IT has expanded its expertise in EU funded projects by focusing on raising the awareness of businesses, especially SMEs, on the topic of sustainability and inclusive and green future.

Strengthening our international partnerships has turned into an integral part of our mission, and we’ve become committed to providing Romanian companies with access to services that serve their global ambitions, while also becoming more engaged in sustainability actions.

Through the Digital4Sustainability project, we’re bringing to the table innovations, skills and a vast network related to the adoption of advanced digital technologies that are capable of advancing sustainability objectives. Through previous projects and initiatives we have established a solid framework that allows us to offer digitalization, sustainability, resilience and internationalization services to SMEs and other stakeholders in our region.

Cluj IT has explored a path paved with digital and innovation challenges within the Enterprise Europe Network, The European Digital Innovation Hubs Network, The European DIGITAL SME Alliance and the DIH HEALTH Network, which has resulted in the development of its valuable digital knowledge, as well as flexibility, adaptability and resilience skills.

Our commitment

We’ve set our main objective clearly from the very beginning: to become one of the most credible suppliers from Central and Eastern Europe in the information technology field, through the collaborative efforts of software solutions providers, universities and research institutions, public bodies and other catalyst organizations.
