Second Matchmaking Event Grows the Digital4Sustainability Community

Building on our first engagement with the Pact for Skills ecosystem, Digital4Sustainability and the Digital Large-Scale Partnership (Digital LSP) co-organised a second matchmaking session on 22 January 2026 to deepen collaboration and widen stakeholder involvement.

Titled “Digital LSP Matchmaking Event: Insights from the Alliance for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills”, the session brought together members of the Digital LSP and the wider Pact for Skills community to explore how collective action can accelerate skills development for the green and digital transition.

Introducing the Digital4Sustainability Alliance community

During the informative session, DIGITAL SME presented the
Digital4Sustainability Alliance community — an open collaboration space for organisations active in
digital and sustainability skills. Operating as a dedicated alliance community within the Digital LSP ecosystem, the
community supports practical cooperation and sustained stakeholder engagement.

The community is designed to support:

  • Knowledge exchange among stakeholders
  • Consultation and validation of project outputs
  • Uptake of results across the ecosystem
  • Continuous dialogue between industry, training providers, and policy actors

A key message from the event was a clear invitation to join the Digital4Sustainability community.
Organisations from both the Digital LSP and the wider Pact for Skills ecosystem were encouraged to participate,
broadening engagement beyond the core consortium and opening the door to new contributors.

Ways to get involved

Community members are invited to actively engage in core workstreams that connect skills intelligence with
real-world training and impact, including:

  • Skills intelligence and labour market analysis
  • Development of skills strategies
  • Design of curricula and learning programmes
  • Dissemination and stakeholder outreach activities

This second matchmaking event marked an important evolution from research-focused dialogue to active community-building. It positioned the Digital4Sustainability Alliance community as a gateway for sustained stakeholder involvement and a pathway for organisations to progressively engage with the Digital LSP and the broader Pact for Skills framework.
